I'm getting this message from Outlook 2003 whenever I try to SEND mail (receiving is working OK.)
Task 'Qwest - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
My ISP SMTP settings are port 25, require SSL, require authentication.
When I stop Avast! On-Access Protection the mail sends without any problems. Receiving is working fine and hasn't had any problems.
My Avast! version is 4.8.1368 (Home Edition.)

Never mind. Found that Outlook had disabled one of the Avast! dlls. Something must have gone wrong with it in the past and the plug-in was never enabled because I didn't know any better.
