I noticed in all the logs from the shields they only say when it was started BUT it does not say when they were shut down, Is there a way to make it say when it shuts down???  Im talking about avast 5...

I don't believe there is an option for that.

I don't know how they would achieve that as by its design avast will want to be one of the very last applications running to start modifying the the logs before avast is closed.

Well in avast 4.8 in the logs it showed me when avast started and stopped, now in avast 5 it only says when its started.....

I can't recall that, mind you I never really bothered with the logs unless I was checking something for the forums.
