Title: Avast blocked a website is this a dangerous page?
Post by: hotavast on March 16, 2010, 02:34:02 AM
My friend suggest me this website, so I think may be something wrong with my computer?
Any way, any body take a look?

UGGGG!

Never good to put an active URL that may be suspicious on a forum.  You should block it out like this:hxxp://www.recipester.org to prevent accidental clickage.  Send an e-mail to the Avast labs for testing of this URL.  send it to virus@avast.com.  The tech team will investigate the URL in the labs and soon work on a virus update to stop the infection. WOT (Web of Trust) gave it a Green Rating with strong evidence that it was a good site.  You might have gotten a false positive.  Do the above to have it checked in the labs.  If the Avast lab finds the site is good, the next definitions update will probably remove the threat.

If you are going to go all shock horror about posting live links to possibly suspect URL, then don't leave said suspect link live in the quoted text you posted either ;D
