Title: How to avoid scanning of files being uploaded?
Post by: disova on March 26, 2010, 10:14:13 PM
I've noticed that when a file is being uploaded to the Web the Avast orange ball keeps spinning. I suppose this is because the program is scanning the outgoing file. Is there a way I can stop this for certain files such as videos uploaded to sharing sites and ZIP or RAR files being sent to storage sites? After all, these files have already been scanned when preparing them and I think the duplicate check slows down the transfer process. Thanks in advance.

avast does not scan outgoing traffic.
Maybe the file itself is being scanned by File Shield (or any other thing is being scanned).
