Title: unsupported browsers and webshield
Post by: caledoniannorm on March 28, 2010, 04:48:04 PM
I noticed in another thread where there was a discussion about the Web Shield, that there is reference to "unsupported browsers"

Is it possible for some kind soul to advise which browsers are supported, and which not ?

Thank you.

Normally, the mainstream browsers are supported...

IE
Firefox
Chrome
Opera
Safari

These are the ones that I know are scanned by default. Others, which are usually off-shoots, will have to be added.

*This is according to my knowledge so I could be slightly wrong, corrections would be appreciated if necessary.*

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to reply.

OK, I'm using Opera version 10.10 build 1893 just now, so webshield should work with it by default.

Are there any settings in the Opera connection options ( proxy servers, ports etc) that I need to tweak to make the shield effective ?

Thank you

Don't think so, it is scanned by default.

You can see if you open the webshield and browse a bit you will see the scanned count change.

Get MWSnap to permit you to post screen capures:

Web Shield should show traffic.
