I purchased an upgrade but when I try to upload the new upgrade in About avast! it now asks for a License file and opens "my documents" window and wants me to download a file. All I was given in an email was a license key number. THe avast! verson I have on this computer is Avast 5.0.462
How do I get the avast! upgrade I purchased to download to my computer?

As it sounds like you have either got the 4.8 Pro license number in the email.
- avast! 5 Pro license convert from 4.8 Pro license. Try http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php (http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php) now, fill in the form giving your email and 4.8 Pro License key and they will send the new license file to you (presumably it will check you have a legit 4.8 Pro license first).
If you have the avast 5.0 free currently installed you shouldn't need to download anything, just insert the key or point the UI at the license file.
