Hi.... I am not sure where to find this, so I will ask....
1. Can the AIS firewall block a program from installing other things?
Let's take Java.... A previous firewall I used would block the Yahoo Detector part of a Java install. I'm not sure if Java actually installs the Yahoo! toolbar, but I know I've found Yahoo! related registry keys after a Java install, labeled Motive Asst & Pager, that weren't on my system previously. (I just can't stand how toolbars install/add stuff silently.)
2. Is there a way to disable AIS' firewall permanently without reinstalling, like via XP's Computer Management? Or should I uninstall AIS + reinstall without the Firewall functionality? (I would like to test if there are conflicts with my previous firewall & AIS, just out of curiosity.) I figured I'd ask 1st before I do anything, just to be on the safe side.... :) Thanks a bunch! ~Kei
Edit: Pardon me while I transition.... xD

Hi, you can go to setup (e.g. via Control panel/Add remove programs) and choose change. There you'll have the option to remove various AIS components, including the shields individually and the firewall module as well.
