I did my first full scan on my v5.0.462. The scan went great, but not the progress bar. It remained on 0% until 40GB had been scanned, and then gradually progressed to 34% remaining there for another 10GB until it crept to 36% and then continued to the end. To the contrary, when I did a quick scan, the progress bar shot out almost immediately and went to 96% where it stayed until the scan caught up and then progressed to the end. This looks like a job for the beta. :)

I suggest that you do a manual Program Update, avastUI, Maintenance, Update, as 5.0.507 (not beta/pre-release) has just been released.
I don't know if that will make any difference, but there is certainly little value in chasing this with an old version.

Thanks for the heads up on the update. I installed it. I'll have to check and see if the scan progress bar is with the program as soon as I can. :)

this was a bug on 462 (there's a whole thread about it), and got solved pretty quickly with new vps/engine update...before any pre-release of 507 was out.

You're welcome, hopefully that will be it.
Though as Logos said this was supposed to be resolved in a virus signature and engine update.
