Title: multiple installation

i downloaded avast 5 free from download.com for xp sp3 32 bit. can i install the same downloaded file on win 7 64 bit or i have to download a fresh avast 5 free setup file.

just use the file you got ;) >>> it will adjust itself according to your OS architecture, 32 or 64 bit.

No you can use the same installation file, it is compatible with all the supported OSes, win2k (with prerequisites), XP, Vista and win7, 32bit and 64bit versions.
