I'm running FF 3.6.3 inside the sandbox as I'm typing this.
What is the error message you're getting?
Thanks

(0xc000007b) this is the message that i get when i'am running it in the sandbox . i'am running it now out off the sandbox.
-
I got an issue, just found now, when running Firefox sandboxed >>> most of my plugins don't appear in the plugin list panel + flash doesn't work ;) ...meaning the plugins that don't appear are really not loaded.

...following my last post about plugins behavior when FF is sandboxed >>> sandbox settings: when internet access is granted to all apps instead of just web browsers (default setting I think), all plugins miraculously appear again in sandboxed Firefox ;D

Where are these settings then??

Using virtualization, I also only allow web brouwers to access the internet ( 3rd option ) and everything is working fine here. I suggest you email Petr about it ;)

do you get all plugins loaded in Firefox with your settings?
-
Yes, that was, reading your issue, the first thing I checked. Extensions, themes and plug-ins are all there.

rnuis, what's your OS + Service pack? (see "Control panel -> System"), do you use 32-bit or 64-bit OS? Thanks.

I just noticed this same thing; opened Ffox sandboxed, no flash or silverlight,(Adobe Acrbt/Java toolkit still there).......opened OUT of sandbox, they all appear........re-open IN sandbox, they all appear..........re-opened IN sandbox again(back 2 back) and they are gone once more ???

good, so it's two of us now ;D >>> you can still temporarily fix that by granting internet access to all virtualized software.

Tried to simulate that ( opening in, out, in etc. etc. ... the sandbox ) but everything stays fine here.

@Logos, are you using normal FF 3.6.3 edition, aren't you?
@Gargamel360, what's your OS and FF version? Thanks.

yes

3.6.3 also

sounds like it's an x64 issue... ???

sounds like it's an x64 issue... ???
hmm...that's not good, not easy to solve I suppose, but again, allowing internet access to all sandboxed software is a temp fix...it will just work like it use to, before these settings existed. >>> may be the issue is just there, that allowing only "web browsers" to connect doesn't include subsequent processes connections, like plugins...but why just on 64 bit systems? and the thing is that they don't load, so I can't see the relation with connectivity.

Gargamel360, can you confirm that ???

Seems so, yeah. Loaded Firefox 3x with "allow all" checked, loaded flash every time :)

Just wondering since first time avast release with sandbox, i already implemented to my IE but sometime if we ran under virtualization of avast my IE become very slow and sometime become hang and stuck.
And today i am tried it again to my Firefox 3.6.3, this happened too with my firefox.
I am using Lenovo 3000G230 with specifications :

RAM 2 GB
OS Windows 7 Home Premium
But after i released my firefox from sandbox, then my firefox can ran normal again.

Can you please run a sandboxed app and when you'll receive the error message, just don't click OK, but run "Task Manager". Go to Processes tab, find that running process (e.g. firefox.exe), use right-click and choose "Create dump file". Please upload the file on our ftp: http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=18. I tested it under Vista SP2, but I haven't seen any problems. I'll look at dump, what's wrong in your system, thanks a lot!

rnuis: The problem was caused by incompatibility issues between avast and c:\windows\system32\guard32.dll (this library modifies process image incorrectly and Vista loader is very strict in this case). I found out this file is part of Comodo Firewall and/or Comodo IS. I'll need to look more deeply.

Some comodo components must be still active in your system, please send me your "c:\windows\system32\guard32.dll" to kurtin@avast.com
Thanks.
