Title: Total fuck up
Post by: Von S... on May 08, 2010, 08:01:50 PM
I have used the free version that worked perfectly for a year or more. I was happy about it and decided to upgrade to a version that I happly paid for......   Big mistake now my gmail - work mail - downloads etc. does not work etc.

I know that using Vista is not too smart but.....

I brought the computer to work where the expercts only came up with one suggestion..

Delete everything and start over again - Format C:

how do I get my money back and how do I avoid - Format C:

Regards

Did you already format?

I dont  think the advice you recieved was any good. Im positive the forum members here could have helped you.

I think you can try to contact avast at sales(at)avast(dot)com to try to get a refund

Most likely you're using a personal firewall that's blocking the internet access for avast! service?

The forum is here to help even your experts.  If they have problems with English, there are those here who can help with that too.  But problems with stupid are harder to solve, so please don't keep reformatting things.

how do I avoid - Format C:

Don't listen to the so called 'experts' advice..!!
If they advice something like this, they are no experts at all. ;)
Tell us more about your system and your problems, so we can solve them.
