What pages ?

The web shield scans all HTTP port 80 traffic, basically what you view whilst browsing the internet. It doesn't scan non-http traffic (or http traffic that doesn't use port 80), such as HTTPS and FTP, etc.

You mean the swap file? No, why on earth would avast scan it, it's explicitely excluded. If you want to slow down your system to crawl by scanning couple of gigs of random junk, feel free to remove the exclusion.

A rummage through the avastUI will give you a better understanding of avast, File System Shield, Exclusions, see image.

However, I don't know if the on-demand scans would scan it as there is no defined exclusion in the avast Settings, Exclusions, which apply to all on-demand scans.

So they aren't scanned whilst in use swapping in and out memory objects.
