Sure, or what do you mean exactly?
There's also an automatic rootkit scan at system start... :)

on vista, simply use windows firewall as a free firewall.
To use it as a two way firewall follow,

Asyn,
why are you using a-squared if you are already using Avast which is antispyware too.

I gave those hub links, because there is no need to use another free firewall, other than windows built in firewall, if you are on vista. Use Windows Firewall as a two way firewall. For details on using Windows Firewall as a two way firewall, follow my hub, posted first.
Asyn is using Comodo as a free firewall solution.

I only use it on demand for a second opinion, if needed. ;)

1. Sure, ok. Nevertheless this was off topic here. There are other threads or places this would fit better.
2. True. So? ;)

Asyn,

Quite good, I'd say, nevertheless most on this forum favour Mbam as second opinion.
Here are some reviews of the old version, I use right now. (http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/reviews/)

Edit: Btw, we're off topic again... ;)

I ditched SAS and MBAM ;D useless for me, i.e. I'm not saying that they're useless, but overkill on the system of someone (myself) whose computer had one little minor infection...a few years ago ;D I'll try to rely on Avast completely from now on (questions :o ) ...other than I'm a bit worried about those missed samples reported by Tech off and on, I'm fine thanks :D

You did - honestly..??
No second opinion needed? Never?
