Title: virus cleaner
Post by: sony on July 15, 2004, 03:11:00 PM
I got a warning that a virus   Win32:Bobax [Wrm]   is on computer. Than I choose delete/remove but nothing happened. I got this message again. Next step; I download a virus cleaner. Near some files there is written down that could not be scanned. Is that something wrong or there is some other solution? At the moment a virus was found again and I choose delete/remove again. Is this OK? This bobax makes me crazy!

avast! Virus Cleaner doesn't support Bobax, so there is no use in trying it. It's perfectly normal that some of the files are locked and cannot be scanned during the runtime of the operating system.

Did you check the "Delete fles(s) at the next system start" checkbox when you instructed avast! to delete the file?

Hi,

read here:
TREND (http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_BOBAX.A) for info.
--> you don't have all Windowsupdates !! APPLY them immediately..

Where was the worm found (full path/folder/filename) ?
What Win do you have ?
 ;)
