Title: Google Chrome and ad servers
Post by: Hermite15 on May 15, 2010, 12:46:40 AM
...as some of you know they're not being blocked by ad blockers in Chrome. The API doesn't allow it...yet. So in the mean time ads are just hidden. But it seems things might change...may be...

3. We're waiting on a Chrome feature that will allow us to block ads from being downloaded.  Until then, we remove them after the fact.  This means that even if you subscribe to the EasyPrivacy list, your browser will still be pinging the URLs that track you.  Star the issue at http://bit.ly/chromebug35897 to get this fixed sooner!

come on ::) when you're saying "I hope for you and others..!!" that's a clear reference to the fact that you don't use Chrome, and having read what you said about it in other threads, the conclusion is easy :D

I think that you are reading something that isn't there.

If anything he is supportive of the plight of Chrome users and from what I see all he has done is perhaps quote too much of your post. If you look at what I have highlighted and it is this that he too hopes will change for you and other chrome users.

At least that is how I read it, perhaps I'm reading too much into it ;D

you haven't read other posts in other threads where he made clear he couldn't care less about it, wasn't interested etc...which makes his first post in the thread here obviously ironic, but never mind, I'd rather talk about Chrome ;) (that was in a thread started by Polonus about Google Chrome and privacy)

The other posts in other threads are irrelevant, he is posting here in response to your post. People aren't reading other topics they are reading this one when they see that comment.

excuse me ??? can you repeat that please ? are you a serious person or a censorship adept here ? IRRELEVANT BECAUSE NOT POSTED IN THE THREAD HERE ? Posted on the same forums by the same person (the content doesn't really matter it's not that important) and you're saying it should be ignored because it can't be seen from here? what you just said is extremely stupid, extremely stupid...or oriented ;D and completely irrelevant. I mean can you look at yourself in a mirror when you talk like that ???

edit: you interfered when you shouldn't have, making the conflict happen  ::) between you and I. The story about Asyn was insignificant in compare.

that's pure bullshit, you're blindly repeating what you said before already and it doesn't make more sense now. Your attitude is just not respectable.

edit: will try to explain because I think you don't understand. Would you have expected me to answer his post without taking into account something I knew ??? are you mad ???

I think I understand OK I don't believe you needed to respond at all, as it was supportive of the last sentence of your post and the plight of other chrome users. Not a dig at chrome or chrome users.

oh, and you're naturally posting in every thread you're not interested in to support the others, right ;D

@ DavidR >>> you're not telling me who I need to respond to and who not okay  ::) ...yourself shouldn't have posted in this thread at all in the first place ;D

No problem with Chrome IMHO, I've been using it as my default browser for a long time.

There will always be some people that prefer a different browser like Firefox and/or IE8 etc.

Luckily I do not have a Chrome dome.
