Hi,
For those of you running avast! Pro AV along side with OnlineArmor FW, could you tell which of the two technologies do you prefer and why?
Thanks
-
What do you mean by "which of the two"?
You're comparing an antivirus (avast! Pro) and a firewall (Online Armor).
You need both ::)
-
Well, maybe you don´t know about OnlineArmor´s technology called "RunSafer" which is similar to a SandBox, on which the user decides which programs (mainly browsers) are going to run safer. take a look at this link:
http://www.online-armor.com/webhelp3/KF-RunSafer.html

RunSafer only drops some admin privileges for web browsers and that's all - there's no other protection. When you remove these privileges, such application cannot install drivers, shutdown the system or inject code into other processes/threads. However, any other system changes to your PC won't be handled at all - malware can still affect your PC (filesystem changes, configuration, registry, ...).

Thank you very much PK :-)

Diazruanova, the sandbox is only into avast suite (AIS) and not the antivirus...
