Title: Does Avast work with Thunderbird?
Post by: theupendra on June 08, 2010, 10:08:21 AM
Hi friends,
I just installed Avast Antivirus today. And, I use Mozilla Thunderbird to get my emails from my server. My server is POP3 and I am unable to find if Avast is scanning my incoming emails on background. Does Avast scans my emails on background or not? How can I be sure that Avast work with Mozilla Thunderbird?
I tried to find in the forum but didn't get the actual information that I wanted.
Thank you so much in advance!

You can hit CTRL-U in your received email, and you can get a detail window.

If your AVAST is worked, you can see

X-Antivirus: avast! (VPS 100607-1, 2010/06/07), Inbound message
X-Antivirus-Status: Clean

in your email header.
