Title: Outlook plugin and Microsoft error
Post by: Lisandro on June 09, 2010, 02:35:15 AM
I've received a new version of the MS Outlook plugin/antispam library form k.u.r.t.
Disabled self-defense module. Delete the old file with Unlocker. Copy the new one there.
Used Outlook for one or two days.
A lot of mdmp files appeared in the log. I've uploaded them to the ftp site (Tech_Mdmp_Files_10_06_08.zip file).
Then, suddenly, I've got a weird MS error... never seen it before.
I've repaired my MS Office installation and boot.
The error continued. I've deleted the new AsOutExt.dll file and repaired the avast installation.
I need to boot to check if it worked...

The error is gone after that.
The MD5 of the (new) AsOutExt.dll file is 4E34B509A889784BFAAEBE776849B679

Tech,
this error message only appears in debug versions of dlls, not in release ones. That is why you haven't seen them before. Will look into your minidump files soon.

Ok, but is there a way to remove the message without removing the functionality of the debug version?
I mean, this way I can't test it. Is there other version of this dll ?
