Title: Missing .ref files
Post by: oakpalms on June 12, 2010, 04:48:32 AM
I have several files ending with .ref that have disappeared from various folders used with Microsoft Train Simulator (MSTS).  A few years ago, I switched to avast since other antivirus programs were deleting another file extension used with MSTS.  Is there something new added to avast that is deleting *.ref files?

You should hide your e-mail from public, click above on Profile then account related settings.

As far as I know Avast! should not delete but send to chest, have you checked there?
In the Avast! UI,  Maintenance section.

avast do not delete files or do housekeeping in the computer.
avast will automatically move *infected* files to Chest (quarantine). Can you check if they're there?
