Title: Problems with a password

After updating the free program from v. 4.8 to 5.0.545 during changing some settings, I’ve entered the password to protect the program, retyped password and saved successfully. From this time I can’t do any changes to a program as long as it doesn’t recognize the password. When trying to delete it – it hanged on deleting registries. I’ve deleted it with aswclear5 in safe mode. It wrote that the program was deleted completely, when I tried to install it again – the problem left – it needs a password for making changes, I can’t read the advices in the program – it hangs on, I can’t enter a license key that was deleted. Is it possible to remove the password protection from this type of program and how should it be done, please.

It's stored in the C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5\aswResp.dat file (Windows 7).
