Title: [FIXED] scan computer - unresponsive gui
Post by: francesc on June 29, 2010, 12:52:30 AM
Hello, first post... first problem with avast after long-time use.

When I click on the "scan computer" tab, Avast GUI becomes unresponsive for almost a full minute. Same happens when I click on the "scan now" and "scan logs" tabs, but not when I click on the "boot-time scan" tab. No problems either when I click on any of the other tabs on the main GUI.
Right-click scans also take a full minute or more to begin.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Avast a couple of times. Things seem to go well for a few days but then it all begins again.

I guess this is a minor issue since everything else seems to be working fine, but I'd be grateful if you solved this for me.

Using avast on Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 alongside Windows Defender.

Thanks in advance.

Please update to the latest version (5.0.594).
This problem is supposed to be fixed.

Thanks

You're right, thank you. I've just turned on my computer and the update popup appeared. Now everything is working fine. :D

Thanks again.
