Title: Win32:Trojano-169 [Trj] in dc.exe
Post by: yuma2k3 on July 22, 2004, 07:31:05 PM
I have a recurring virus alert for a file at this location:
\windows\system32\dc.exe

The alert warns of the Win32:Trojano-169 [Trj] virus.

I've taken the file and run it through Norton AV 2004 and Trend.  Neither see any problem with the file.

Why is Avast 4 constantly flagging it and alerting me?

Thanks very much.

Hi,

the board search lists 20 hits for
Trojano-169
-> why not try it there first ? ;)

Other links to try:
VGREP (http://www.virusbtn.com/resources/vgrep/vgrep.cgi?terms=Trojano-169&product=1)
Link in my sig: "VirusRemoval"

It's BRISS: Ad-/Spyware, and neither NORTON nor Trend-Online are so fit in this detection..

 ;)

Tawash, how to remove it is already told in several threads here. Use the search function of the forum to find them.
