Title: Adding processes to exclusions
Post by: BoerenkoolMetWorstEnJus on June 29, 2010, 11:53:44 PM
I've been trying to exlude processes from Avast not just files, but I can't find the option, is it possible?
Like don't scan any files accessed by process X, or don't scan network traffic from process X etc.

Hello!

Processes do have PID (and behind any PID, there is a file.); those change on every startaup, or even the same program is launched again. So you just can set programs = files on that whit-list; in fact you know that file.

Yes, but that will not exclude the files accessed by process.
That would be handy for example with on demand scanners or a second real-time protection software.
