Hi Stephan,

here's some Info on Hackarmy-variants:
VGREP (http://www.virusbtn.com/resources/vgrep/vgrep.cgi?terms=Backdoor.Hackarmy&product=0)

also read "VirusRemoval" below

P.S.: you should exercise some common sense when surfing/using the net, otherwise NO AV-Scanner will be able to protect you (as NO AV-Scanner detects everything..)

 ;)

i have looked there now.But no information about that virus

I said "VARIANTS", which means that your GENeric naming/detection is very similar to the other BackDoor.Hackarmy variants listed there..

Browse through the 10 pages and follow the RED links with descriptions/instructions

if avast doesn't detect it, then probably a boot-time scan won't help either, but you can try and see if avast recognizes some of the files created by the Backdoor

*

Additional scanners/ressources/Tools you'll find in the "VirusRemoval" link (did I mention this before?).

you might also decide to format & reinstall PROPERLY

P.S.: Please send the downloaded/backdoor-file to avast, so they can include it in the virus definitions.. Thx

Question to WHOCARES or any other person with knowledge of a/v industry . does AVAST share virus definitions with other a/v companies and in turn have definitions referred to them from within the industry?

Ofcourse AV software companies work together up to a point. A good example of this is the ITW (In The Wild) virus list.
