Title: Conflicts with comodo?
Post by: sw on July 04, 2010, 12:38:55 PM
Hi, I really like both avast and comodo.
So, I was wondering if
i)Avast Internet Security would work with comodo internet security?
ii) Avast free works with comodo internet security ( antivirus + firewall)?
iii) Avast free works with comodo antivirus?

Please tell me about it if there you have tried it. Thanks

i) No, because their firewalls would conflict.
ii)Yes, there are users in this forum using that combination. (The Comodo antivirus is disabled.)
iii)No. Any two resident antivirus programs would conflict if they are installed in one machine.

I used CIS before, but recently it became bloatware so I changed my firewall to PC Tools Firewall+

If you want a combination, use avast antivirus + Comodo Firewall and Defense+.

Does avast or comodo come with anti-malware and anti-spyware?

i use to have comodo internet security full enabled (with av) and avast AV on except the "file scanner " disabled. it was working ok, but i stopped this and removed cis AV because i found that cis av was slowing down my explorer.... avast is faster and gives more fluidity.

So, for me, the best is CIS FW + Avast free AV.  8)
