Title: Exchange 2010 support?
Post by: oci_tech on July 08, 2010, 03:18:16 PM
Do the avast! Server Edition and the avast! Exchange plugin support Exchange Server 2010? We have a new Exchange server with Windows Server 2008 x64 and Exchange Server 2010 and want to install avast! on it. I searched the forums and knowledgebase and didn't find anything on this. Thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't play around with Avast for serious stuff - they do not want to even post in their own forums!

@ superflyboy    i understand your frustration and i feel that every now and then too, tho its is a community forum, they dont put too much effort yet into the support of the community forum  but they are with other support as i saw that you have had contact by phone...

@TS  since the plugin for the server edition is made for 2010  i assume it will not work, i installed avast netclient on a test server with the same setup as you and it installed and exchange was running, but i couldnt check if the plugin actually was running...
so dont take the guess on it that it will work and find it out doesnt....
around this time it is planned to bring out the newest software that will replace ADNM, the software from that package will be compatible....
