Hello!
I have (had?) a Win32:Tiny-AFE infection since May (please refer to my previous post http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=59280.0) which I couldn't get rid of, and which obliged me to perform a complete scan with Avast 4.8 everyday before using my laptop.
Yesterday I updated to Avast 5.0, and now when I carry out a complete scan it doesn't detect Win32:Tiny-AFE anymore...
I am insecure as to wheter Avast 5.0 has eliminated this trojan or whether it simply doesn't find it though it is still here...
Any info/help/suggestions are very appreciated!
Thanks and regards,
Graci

did you try the tools suggested in that tread ? malwarebytes and superantispyware ?

If you still suspect that you may have malware you can let Essexboy have a look
Follow the guide and post the logs as attachments in your next reply

see down left corner: addidional options > attach > ( MBAM scan log / OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt )

Hi Pondus,
Thanks for the replies.
Malwarebytes and Superantispyware found nothing.
Attached are the logs from MBAM and OTL (OTL.txt and Extras.txt, which I really don't understand...)
Thanks again for your help!

Nothing evident on those logs - looks quite clean to me. As you experiencing anything out of the ordinary ?
-
Not really.
I just had all these alerts from Avast 4.8 for a Win32:Tiny-AFE everyday for over two months and now after I updated to Avast 5.0 nothing is shown...

What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
Was it always the same file name and found in the same location ?

Really? Didn't you take any action against the infection? :o
