Is this a real Avast! toolbar? Or is it a fake AV thing? ???

Being offered/marketed by Conduit (http://www.conduit.com/AboutUs/Default.aspx).

Note that they're using "avast" and not "avast!"; i.e., trademark name/logo for avast!.

Would not install in any browser unless one can verify it's a legit add-on.  Did a Google search, only one search result--hxxp://avast.ourtoolbar.com/  :P

While it may be legal, it appears to me as a ripoff.

I certainly would not install it. Anyway, most toolbars suck and are usually close to being adware / spyware.

I definitely would NOT install it.  Something doesn't sound right about that toolbar.

Yup, your right, it is not the Avast! toolbar, it looks like it is a virus or something, no way I'm putting that on my computer.

If Avast! had a real toolbar, wouldn't you think it would be included in the installer as an option? The very fact that there is no such option plus the fact that this toolbar is offered by an outside source makes it suspicious right off the bat.
