How do you schedule a scan to run on certain times, days, etc.

are you using the home or pro edition...scheduled scans only available in the pro version

As Artras suggested, you can use taskmanager. I am guessing you are using the Home version.

I do not remember the exact set-up, but, if you use the Search button (at the top of each page) and search for ... schedule scans ... you should find some posts about doing this.

shgoh is fully right... this is a Pro version feature.
On Home version, use task manager to schedule: ashQuick.exe file from avast folder. You cannot use parameters  :-\
In Pro version you can have both Windows and Command-line possibilities (ashCmd.exe)  8)

the avast free version has a lot of features but this one is reserved to the pro (paid) version.
