Hello all,
I was wondering if Avast can create a Rescue Disk in case you are infected and need to restore.
If it does can someone help and instruct me how to do this.
If this option is not availabe maybe it can be put into the wish list.
Thank You All

Is it possible to create a bootcd or a set of boot floppies from avast home?
I would like to add avast to the ultimate bootcd. I can give a web address if needed. What it basically does is run a shell that allows you pick other dos and linux programs to run. It is used mostly to troubleshoot your computer.

I think you can copy Avast for DOS onto floppies and run it but I dont know about a rescue disk.

Avast has no option to create a rescue disk. It has something much better :D The Avast BART cd !
But you can create a bootable cd and put Avast for dos on it.

For avast Dos see 'Links' on my signature. ;)

Please correct me if I am wrong-
1.DOS is unable to"read"NTFS.
2.You can use"recovery console"to do a repair.
3.It is best to use"imaging"software to create a system backup.(a DVD burner is good for this)

There are dos drivers which will let you see a ntfs partition. :D

Not completely as Artras said but you may have a paid version to 'read and write', correcting the errors.
2.You can use"recovery console"to do a repair.
A very poor funcionality... :'(

Sure... 8)
