Title: [ RESOLVED ] Sleep Mode
Post by: ckiwi on August 24, 2010, 11:14:15 PM
Hi. Not sure if this has anything to do with bugs. I have aways been able to put my computer to sleep from start button, to right, arrow and click sleep. The last few days, with no changes to comp. I click sleep and the comp. shuts down and then starts up again saying Windows Error Recovery, did not shut down successfully and in normal mode, the computer starts up, safe mode the screen goes huge? I have checked the settings and comp is to go to sleep in 2hrs if not done manually, through start menu. When I awake computer is on, has not gone to sleep at all? Avast Quick/Full/Boot-free scans have shown nothing. Free SAS/MBAM show nothing but cookies which are sent to quarantine or not having to restart comp. Reading the forums and not one to venture to strange sites, but still paranoid, I also have on desktop CCleaner, Secunia and TFC. Secunia 5 patched 1 insecure, Adode Reader but updated? Cleaner removed thousands of files, wow. Is this not sleeping a problem.

Thanks so much
Ckiwi

Pondus, thank you for steering me in the right direction. I feel stupid now, I should have checked a Vista site. Didn't even think of that. No more sleeping problems.
