I Just installed a fresh windows 7 X64 on my computer
Installed avast free 5.0.594
Installed office 2010 8)
When i want to setup my email i cannot receive mail in a pop3 account. :'(
Also have 1 imap account and 2 hotmail accounts in outlook, they work just fine.
I have the error message (0x800cccof) :-X
Checked it on google and tryed it with avast turned off.
And i have no errror anymore.
Also tryed to change timeout bar in outlook but no result.
What can i do to change this?
Never had this problem with 4.8!

Turn off Scan inbound messages and Scan outbound messages in Mail Shield.

Where do you have your mail accounts .....Hotmail / Gmail / Yahoo ??? if so they have spam/virus scanners on there mailservers
Microsoft is using TrendMicro
Yahoo Norton
Gmail McAfee and Authentium

I have 3 hotmail accounts
One account is from strato hosting
And one account from tele2.
But i found out everything is covered.

I keep Windows Defender updated manually every morning through its portal:
Latest definition version: 1.89.565.0
http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx
I use its default settings but I do change it to run a Quick scan every morning.

I have exactly the same issue :'(, Avast 5, windows 7(32bit), Office 2010, no SSL.
Did you come up with a solution other than disabling the 'Scan inbound messages'?
