Title: Avast Internet Security and Windows Security Center
Post by: xerebas on September 02, 2010, 12:11:03 PM
Greetings,

I'm currently using Avast! Internet Security 5 on my Windows Vista Ultimate x64.
The problem that I'm having is as follows:

After installing Avast IS both Avast's firewall and Windows Firewall keep running. When I stop the Windows Firewall it says there's no other firewall installed.
It seems to me that Windows' Security Center doesn't recognize Avasts Firewall. Is there any way to make it recognize the firewall?

PS: At the moment I've chosen the option "I'm using a firewall I control" wich will stop Windows from asking to enable the Windows Firewall.

Kind regards
X

Sometimes, Windows Security Center stops recognizing your antivirus or firewall... So, check your system time and date and also http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=23457.msg193534#msg193534
