Title: Web Site Login Issues After Installing Avast Internet Security 5
Post by: wellingtonr on September 04, 2010, 07:58:29 PM
I just installed Avast Internet Security 5 and are now having issues logging into any website where I have to enter a username and/or password....ex. bank account, facebook, etc. etc. I had Avast Home Pro before and never had this issue. During installation everything seemed to flow. I even tried disabling all of the shields and firewall but I'm still having issues. Any suggestions?

Prior I had Avast Home Pro and McAfee at the same time and I didn't have any issues. So right now I have Avast Internet Security (don't see anything Home Pro anymore) and McAfee. In what order should I uninstall and re-install?

Thanks!

Thanks for your help!! I followed your instructions. It definately had something to do with McAfee. I uninstalled McAfee per your instructions and then re-installed the Avast. Everything seems to be running fine now. Again, thank you very much!!! I love Avast as it has caught stuff that McAfee hasn't so I don't mind just running Avast.

Glad i could help.... ;)

I also recomend to run Malwarebytes. it works great as an extra scanner along side avast.....run it now, you may be supprised  :o ....OBS always update it before you scan.
