I appreciate your comments Logos but they deal with an entirely different topic.
Let's just leave the politics to the politicians for now.  :'(

Thank you, Bob.

I will never forget  :'(, and fortunately got to visit the towers on business numerous times in the early to mid-seventies when I lived in N.Y.C. The views from the observation deck were awesome. Also, my uncle was one of the master plumbers during construction.

The human toll, and property destruction are inexcusable.

Many different countries lost many lives that day.

We should remember that this was not just an attack on the USA.

It was an attack on the World as a whole.

I don't mind Jan but the only difference between the one offered in my original post (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=63712.msg538572#msg538572) and the one you posted is the place where the file is hosted.
Mine is hosted on MySharedFiles (http://mysharedfiles.no-ip.org) and yours is hosted at the FridayPage.  :)

Sorry Bob, I don't see any similarity in content between the two links. ???  Except, maybe for the theme and a few duplicate photos?

Hi all...

I thought the British made a touching gesture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQOQWAKnB1Q&feature=related) during that time. :)

It will be ten years on 9/11/11. To this day I remember the "Changing of the Guard" at Buckingham Palace and the British played "The Star Spangled Banner". This show of unity still brings tears to my eyes. The outpouring of condolences from around the world touched the hearts of all Americans. May it never happen again.  :'(

Fascinating interview with Richard Clarke, former Chief Counter-Terror Advisor under Bush, on how these guys actually managed to pull it off.

I happened to be watching the morning news in the UK and saw it as it unfolded. Once I saw the second aircraft hit the towers I knew it was a terrorist attack and no accidental first strike.

I watched totally stunned for hours as all the reports came in, it is a day I will never forget even though I was thousands of miles away.

I'll never forget as I watched that event all day.
Now there are TV programs covering that day.

I watch it here:

I turned on my TV that day and the first thing I saw was people running down the street with crumbling skyscrapers behind them. My first thought was "Why are they showing a Godzilla movie at this time of the day on CBS? Then when I realized it was real and what was going on, I was totally shocked. It was a terrible day for sure and yes, it was an attack on the western world but primarily on the US and it's dominant position in the World economy.

I have serious trepidations about the upcoming anniversary. What better time to attack again could you ask for? They have stated that everyone who was in power that day will be at the ceremonies. I'm sure they have thought of this and have ramped up security accordingly but I still have a feeling of apprehension that I can't shake off. I pray to God that nothing happens again.

Share Your September 11 Memory

Ten years ago, we suffered the worst terrorist attack in America's history. Nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children – including hundreds of first responders and citizens of more than 90 countries and of many faiths and backgrounds – lost their lives that day. As we approach the 10th anniversary, we remember those we lost and we look how far we have come in securing our nation.

Remembering 9/11: ME1 Carlos Perez

Every American has a different memory of the Sept. 11 attacks. Ten years later, the events of that day remain burned into America’s psyche and remembrance often begins with the sobering question, “Where were you when the towers fell?” Some sat before their televisions, frozen in disbelief. Others were in Lower Manhattan, working their way through panic and smoke blanketing the city in search of safety. As the city reeled in the immediate aftermath of the attack, hundreds made their way towards the danger to do their duty.
