Title: surprised at the number of definitions

Updating my previous
current version: 1.9.2010 - 100901-1
Number of definitions: 2,965,650
Updates today
current version: 10.9.2010 - 100910-0
Number of definitions: 2,294,692

Please answer, why reduced the number of definitions   :(

lol yeah...looks like it went back a few hundred thousands in the space of 24 hours ??? ;D

I can't believe the amount of people slavishly monitoring this figure when the wording below is more to the point.

the wording below is one thing, and if you didn't read the blog post it makes you wonder about the number regression, that's all ::)

Maybe it would be a good idea for avast! guys to add additional note that if definitions count decreases at any time, this only means they are optimizing definitions and not removing them. Just to avoid all the unnecessary questions from users.
