Title: Outlook Express problem after windows update
Post by: Grem on August 04, 2004, 09:41:57 AM
Hello,
yesterday I updated my windows xp pro.
when I tried to check my email, I got an error :

"There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your User Name was rejected. Account: 'POP', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3 ..."

I did not change any settings, so I'm pretty sure it's because of the windows update wich included fixes for OE6.

When I changed 127.0.0.1 to my mail server it worked, so mail server is ok.

Any ideas?

Thanx in advance.

The whole error text would be useful, because it can contain a message from the mail scanner.

rerun the mail protection wizzard. See if that solves it.

Oh, sorry, here u go:

"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.netvision.net.il', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"
