Title: Mozilla and Avast
Post by: DHM100 on August 04, 2004, 11:49:45 AM
Is there a way to insert the clean message into my outbound mail from Mozilla?
By the way, other than this minor question, I have been very satisfied with Avast :)

Dean, I've heard from this before... I think you can't because of the structure of the message receive by Mozilla. But I'm not sure, maybe a search in the board...  ::)

yes, you can ... can't say where exactly (am at work without Avast) but it is configurable.

looks like this :

avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
Virus Database (VPS): 0431-0, 26/07/2004
Tested on: 7/28/2004 12:23:52 PM
avast! - copyright (c) 2000-2004 ALWIL Software.

edit : using the Home Edition ...

Yes you can add that msg to the mail, but I think you need Avast Pro for that.

I think I saw it explained earlier on this board. Have a search and see what comes up.

Too strange for me... This was not a difference between the two versions... It should be indiferent  ::)

you can add the 'clean' message in the Home edition :

rightclick Avast icon - On access protection control - Internet mail - customize - under IMAP, POP and SMTP there's a "insert note into clean message" ...

works great like my example above shows ...
