I cannot get Avast to send my license number so I can get the proper registration. Any ideas on how to contact these people?

What avast program (4.8, 5.0), avast free, avast Pro or avast Internet Security ?

AIS:   Once you have purchased Avast Internet Security 5.0, you will receive an email with your license file attached to the email address specified during the purchase process.  You need to have Avast Internet Security 5.0 already installed on your machine to insert the license file into the program according these instructions:
