I copied the report. I am getting this error under windows 7, saying its degrading my startup time. Yet, I did not notice any slower start then normal. Maybe because of my fast machine, It doesn't really affect me. Anyway, its not really a problem for me, I just thought I would post this, as maybe other users avast is causing a slow down on startup.

Separate minor problem:

Also, When I generate a system health report, It states that no anti-virus is installed. According to windows action center, avast is there, and windows detects it. But when I run the system health report, it says the security center detects no anti-virus installed. But when I go into security center, IT IS listed there. Weird problem. Most likely a minor windows bug, not with you guys. Just something else I noticed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, it still shows these 2 minor issues. It doesn't bother me at all, but I just thought I would post to let everyone know.

Avast latest version installed (non beta)
Windows 7 home premium.
AMD phenom II x4 920 deb 2.81GHZ quad processor.
4gb of ram
32 bit. (haven't switched to 64 bit yet, due to lack of program support for most things)

Use http://soluto.com to check what is delaying your boot.

"Also, When I generate a system health report, It states that no anti-virus is installed" I see the same thing on my 3 Windows 7 64 bit PC's using
Avast IS 5.0.667. I have seen the same on other Windows 7 PC's running several different AV programs. As long as as it is listed in security center your OK.
Must be a windows bug? As far as the slow down goes try what the other poster recommended. You could also try setting Avast to load after other services under settings/troubleshooting and see if that helps.

That just it though, I am not experiencing a slow down on boot up. My start up time is fine. Feels like normal. I  just thought maybe avast has a bug that is causing windows to think that. I basically posted this in case other windows 7 users are experiencing a slow down. I am not, even though windows tells me it is, I timed it. I see no difference. I just posted these 2 things. They are very minor, but I posted just in case it is a bug avast could work on.

And thanks, I think its a minor windows bug. Maybe it will be fixed in sp1; as they said, its the only 1st service pack that actually does not fix much. With windows 7, there isn't much to fix. I ran it in beta, and then rc. Never had any huge problems. Its a great OS.

no need to report that, Windows Seven is reporting everything as delaying boot times ::)

Maybe it was only Windows who has a problem...
Did you test soluto? How many seconds does it take to load avast?
