Title: Where can I find a flv to wmv conveter?

I tried lots of converters and most of them say 'you have to be a administrator' to run the setup. Why is that? Registry files aren't that important for just a converter, are they? Anyways, I tried searching for one and I found some cnet links. The first one I found was from AuvisoftWeb Of Trust (http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/auvisoft.com) from cnet. The address here:

I do research on my files before I download them if you didn't know already. ;D

Anyways, then I found another converter from LumixsoftWeb Of Trust (http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/lumixsoft.com), did some research on them, and decided to download it after I did a virus total scan (http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report.html?id=ae8f27aa200056a693ad8d94ca29d8e8d2d988cafdacb463d6b5197e7baa32ad-1285521379). After I downloaded it and ran it, I got this big X and got real mad...

Anyways, do any of you know where I can get a virus free flv to wmv converter?

Sure thing. Online one here, www.online-convert.com and a downloadable one, Windows-only: www.formatoz.com . On Linux or Macs just use ffmpeg or something :/. As for registry entries, many installers add uninstall data to it, so you can remove it trough Programs And Componnents (Vista+) or Add/Remove Programs (earlier)

Left click once on the downloaded setup file then right click and choose run as administrator.

I managed to download two things before my laptop shut down on me. Yeah, I have it on a counter.

@Craigb
Look at my registry and maybe that will explain it!!!

It's not like I have a CD to burn this iso on so that I can create a hidden administrator account to do anything I want.
