Title: Password strength check
Post by: timcan on September 29, 2010, 11:55:06 PM
Hi, I got this link from a thread at wilders. :)
I checked my routers wireless network password(not the actual one but a very similar one) as to how long it might take an attacker to break it by brute force.Only about 139 billion years. :o

Plenty of good reading here.http://www.hammerofgod.com/passwordcheck.aspx (http://www.hammerofgod.com/passwordcheck.aspx)

May be of interest to someone, at least it will give you an idea of how strong your passwords are.

OHhh....this guy also offers "Thor's Godly Privacy"
Encryption written by the Son of Odin himself?   It must be truly unbreakable! ;D

Hi Logos,  :) actually at the top of the page it's suggested not to test actual passwords.

If you are really worried about it, then don't use real passwords.

Isn't this really to give an idea how strong a password is?

ever heard of lastpass? (multi-browser online password manager) >>> it's got a password tester, actually a security check process reviewing your passwords, the real ones ;)

...give it a shot https://lastpass.com/ (not to test your passwords of course, but the software, it's worth it)
