I believe this is a question only Damien (Polonus) can answer.
It's also something he has to decide. Not something a pole can answer or remedy.

Not to be mean or anything, but I also find it difficult to concentrate on what he writes.
I mean, he could at least learn to add a space or two in his posts, just to break it up a bit.
Of course, he's a valued asset to the forum, so sure, he should come back.

While I did not always understand ever word in his posts, I always appreciated the fact that he was giving valuable information. I have learnt many things over the years from his posts. By the way, Polonus is Dutch and his English language is not perfect. I have met the man and talked with him at length. He is very intelligent and has probably forgotten more than most of us will learn about computer security.
Yes, he did forget links sometimes but more times than not he did include them. Still, without the links it should have been obvious to most of us that he was quoting someone else. It was obvious to Logos and that is why he attacked Polonus. We all know he was repeatedly attacked for simple mistakes we all make. Logos was not right and has attacked Polonus for other mistakes. Asking Polonus to correct mistakes is one thing but the attacks he was given were un-called for by anyone.
Who among us has never made a mistake? Those who have not, keep on casting stones while the rest of us watch in horror as you make your first mistake.

We can't afford to lose people who help others, and that is what Polonus has done in this forum.
I for one, would hope these bad feelings don't keep him away.
After all, it was really only one persons rant, and the majority of us seem to be thankful for his help.
Of course, everyone is welcomed to their opinion, but it went a little too far and became too personal in this case.

Completely agree.
It would be sad to loose a helpful forum member. Sadder in the circumstances that seemed to precipitate this.
I think it's possible to point something out without being such an arse about it.

It certainly isn't something Damien (Polonus) would have wanted.
Bickering, slide remarks, innuendos all of these actions only
continue to splinter what's almost always been a great place to be.

I strongly 100% agree with Bob I haven't seen this peaceful behaver in a very long time, I remember when I first join here their were a lot of great people here years ago and it very sad nearly all of them don't come back. Because we did have this same problem with bad behaver and getting into an argument when Avast close the Off-Topic section do we really need this problem again, or are you behaving like a very selfish child please grow up.
