Title: Does ais5 conflict with SSM(System Safety Monitor)?
Post by: buorz on October 10, 2010, 06:04:53 PM
Does ais5 conflict with SSM(System Safety Monitor)? I can't install them together.
No matter which program I installed first, then  intalled the second one,and restared the computer,I couldn't enter the system.
I had to use "Last Known Good Configuration"to enter the system.
I used to turn off some options of Avast ais 5, in the "SETTINGS",under the "Troubleshooting"option.
The options are "Enable rootkit scan on system startup"  "
Enable raw disk access during abast! boot-time scan"  "
Load avast! self-defense module".
Then I installed SSM,but the problem was still there.
And then,I tried Avast free 5,they were compatible.

sorry about that, but ssm has been discontinued for ages (years) ;D , if you still want to run it and there's a conflict, whatever it is, do not expect Avast to help resolve it. May be disable the behavior shield, or the script shield... try to disable the modules one by one... you're on your own.
