Title: Where are my SPAM email going?
Post by: sublimeb on October 26, 2010, 08:10:24 PM
I am currently using the latest version of Avast free edition. As of recently I haven't received any of my SPAM email like I did with my previous anti virus program. Sometimes some of these spam messages are not really spam at all so i would still like to at least review these messages. I am using outlook express and there is no SPAM folder where any of these messages would go. I checked the expert setting in the mail shield but I see nothing about creating a SPAM folder for outlook express or anything that would help. Please I need to know how to have any SPAM email's sent to a SPAM folder in my outlook express. Thank you.

Avast Free has no spam filter.  It's Mail Shield only scans messages for malware.

I use avast free and I use OE6 and have no such issue.
Avast's Mail Shield isn't concerned with spam, only malware, it scans your email and alerts to 'infection.' So is avast alerting ?

I do however use MailWasher Pro for my anti-spam program, so I don't get any spam coming through to OE6 and my inbox as it is filtered out at the email server end.
