Hey I was wondering if any of you could help me with this. I've been having this on my gaming rig for two weeks now. Avast, spybot search and destroy don't spot it. But unless I used a cached page from any search engine I get redirected to a page that says:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Any idea how to get rid of this?

See if this does the trick:

spybot search and destroy
SpyBot is not worth the hardisk space, the only thing it is able to remove is tracking cookies
so if you want a second opinion use the best remover there is Malwarebytes
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always update the program before you scan
click the remove selected button to quarantine anything found
you may post the log here if anything is found

Seemed to have work, will wait a few days to see if it holds. I noticed that even if I used S&D and other programs, it would come back after a day or two. So will wait before posting solved.

Get rid of Spybot, replace it with free Mbam...!!!

Completely agree with Asyn.
MBAM is currently one of the leading specialist anti-malware products.
However, it is NOT a substitute for comprehensive security software.
