Title: Thunderbird will not send RTF files
Post by: techie101 on August 15, 2004, 11:47:41 PM
I am testing the new 7.3 version of Thunderbird and found that it will do everything nicely except send RTF files.

I receive a 421 error message that the server acknowledged and disconnected.

I increased the Avast Timeout to 300 which should give me plenty of time, but it does not.

I am comparing TB to OE because I am revamping my ME computer system.

Never said I knew everything.  ::)

Well, that being the case as you say can you convert the RTF files say to PDF, Doc, Html, Txt, Jpg, Gif etc? If so then shouldn't T.B. be able to accomodate these? ;)

Neal,

That is what is funny.  TB will send all orther formats EXCEPT RTF. ??????

I have no idea what is happening.  I have to contact the ISP since the error message refers to a 421.005 out server disconnect.

Technical,

I have not started to do a program shutdown yet.
That will be my next try.
I can understand a firewall and an incoming attachment but not one that is outgoing.

Will let you know what happens unless someone else has another idea.
