Title: avast! Firewall and Win 7 Mobile Broadband(Devs, Can you please look into this?)
Post by: osants911 on December 03, 2010, 02:51:21 PM
Hi Members,

I recently won 1 year license for AIS in avast! Winter Quiz contest so I decided to upgrade to IS. :)
Upgrade went allright(Uninstalled Comodo, Restarted, inserted license, rebooted).

My Problem is this:

- In Windows 7 avast! firewall does not filter any connections IF i create internet connection using new Mobile Broadband feature of Windows.
- If I create connection using dialup (old fashioned way), avast! firewall works flawelessly.

It appears that avast! can't register its filter driver to Mobile Broadband Network Adapter.

Any ideas? Have you experienced this? Does you 3G connection filtering works ok?

I am using avast! AIS on my Lenovo netbook, connecting to my home wireless D-link 635 when home or 3G when on the move. No problem

Thanks for the Reply Pondus!

But I assume you are using Windows XP, not 7.

As far as I've researched, this problem only affects user with Win 7.
