how do i disable the anti virus

coz i dont want it to come up wen playing games, coz wen im playing counter strike it makes the mouse cursor appear while im playing and it gets in the way

i am using avast 4.1 pro

Do you mean when update is downloaded,that blue popup box?

If so,download my avast! External Control (link in my signature) and use avast! Tweaker function. Add check in front of Supress Update Popup Box.

This way avast! will work/update as usual,you just won't see that popup box anymore (which usually interfers with 3D games)

Don't disable it, there is no need for it. Get/install tweakui and use that to prevent applications to steel focus. That's all you have to do.

i might try your idea then eddy. i tried rejzor's idea but that still didnt work so in the end i had to disable it

I have the same problem when I play UT2004, so I just disabled it too.

i just downloaded tweakui, im gonna figure out wot to do now lol

EDIT: i tried that as well, it doesnt work
