Title: Avast couldn´t scan some files
Post by: Hexo on December 29, 2010, 08:39:53 PM
Hey.

I did a user-defined scan. I scan´t all files on my system partition.
I used the last virus definiton 101299-0

After the scan there was an error log, that avast couldn´t scan some files, because avast can´t find them.

I translate the message:

German= Fehler: Das System kann den angegeben Pfad nicht finden
English= Error: The system can not find the specified path

Did someone know what happend with my avast?

If you look at the full path you will see that it is an old defs folder, e.g. the virus definitions. Periodically avast does some housekeeping and removes old def folders after updates otherwise your disk would get full very quickly as these old folders are of the order of 50MB.

There is nothing to worry about.
